About

As a senior international journalist, I produce groundbreaking reports and exclusive interviews for BBC TV, audio and online outlets from around the globe:

  • Ukraine: Several reporting trips to cover Russia’s war in Ukraine with high-profile correspondents
  • US: Biden presidency and 2020/2016 election campaigns
  • Turkey: Erdogan re-election after devastating earthquakes
  • Venezuela: Several stints covering the political crisis and presidential elections
  • Germany: The 2017 and 2021 election campaigns and election night specials in Berlin
  • Brazil: The rise of Jair Bolsonaro
  • Cuba: Fidel Castro’s funeral and political reforms
  • UK: Special coverage of parliamentary elections, Brexit day and key moments in the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union

I also write for the BBC News website, mostly about Europe. I was based in Washington DC as News Desk Editor overseeing correspondents and producers across the Americas.

As output editor and senior producer at BBC Newshour, I was one of the people in charge of covering the major global news stories for the BBC World Service’s award-winning flagship programme.

From 2018 to 2019, I was the Europe radio producer for BBC News in Brussels. I covered the key stages of the Brexit negotiations and stories across the continent for BBC Radio 4: France, Hungary, Serbia, Belgium, Malta and Switzerland.

Before joining the BBC World Service, I worked in TV, radio and online news in Germany and Spain. I filmed and directed a short documentary about child workers in Bolivia.

I speak German, Portuguese, French and Spanish.
